About us

Established in 2009

Iglesia Pentecostal Bethel de Calhoun was born out of a calling from God placed in the hearts of Pastors César and Roxana Cardona. Their spiritual journey began at Iglesia Pentecostal Bethel in Norcross, Georgia, under the leadership of Pastor Luis Juarez. In January 2005, they gave their lives to Christ, and soon after began serving faithfully as cell leaders, supervisors, and church elders.
In 2013, during a time of prayer in Calhoun with pastors and leaders, God confirmed His calling over their lives publicly. Obeying His voice, the Cardona family officially began ministry in Calhoun on July 1, 2013. What began with only 7 members and 25 in Sunday attendance has now grown to over 220 members and more than 300 people gathering each week.

What we believe in

  • We are a 100% cell-based church
  • We are a Pentecostal church
  • The Bible is the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and is the only rule of faith and practice
  • We believe in God the Father, creator and sustainer of the universe, eternal, all-powerful, triune, and one
  • We believe in God the Son, Jesus Christ: born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross to redeem us, physically rose from the dead, ascended to heaven, and will return in glory for His church
  • We believe in God the Holy Spirit, sent by the Father to dwell with us and empower us to live a holy and victorious life
  • All humans have sinned, are accountable to God, and under condemnation
  • Through God’s love and Jesus’ death, salvation is available to all; repentance and faith in Christ bring forgiveness, freedom from judgment, and eternal life
  • The universal church includes all true Christians, in heaven and on earth; the local church refers to Christians who gather regularly to serve Christ and share the Gospel
  • The church is made of people, not a building; the building is simply where the church meets
  • We believe in the manifestation of the Holy Spirit through gifts such as speaking in tongues, divine healing, discerning spirits, faith, and others
  • We believe in the death and resurrection of Christ
  • We practice water baptism as commanded by Jesus (Matthew 28:19)
  • We believe in the second coming of Christ for His church
  • The first resurrection of the dead in Christ is for eternal life; the second resurrection is for eternal condemnation
  • The church will not go through the great tribulation
  • We honor God through tithes and offerings
  • We believe in reconciliation and restoration for all people

Mission

Vision

To see lives transformed, families restored, and disciples raised up for the glory of God.
